The vessel project introduces the process of vaccuforming. The vessel form was first a block of wood, then turned on a lathe, and finally vaccuformed over in styrene. In order to achieve a water-tight seal for the vessel, I included a flange in the body's design to allow for creating a plastic weld seal. The vessel form holds its own containing volume in water and elegantly displays an orchid flower. The foot in the back half ensures stability at the 25 degree stance.
